Children can sell their handmade creations, practise handling money, think about pricing and presentation, and experience the excitement of running their own little business.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHow it works\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStalls are $10 per child, pre-booked and pre-paid, and spaces are limited. Tables will generally be shared between three children, with neighbouring tables where possible for friends or groups.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach child is responsible for setting up their own little shop. Before the event, encourage them to think about:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eShop name and signage\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDecorations and product display\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePrice tags\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eA tablecloth – this can simply be a nice piece of fabric to cover the table. Tablecloths are not provided by Little Stitch Academy, so please bring your own.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eFinished products ready to sell – give everything a final check and make sure loose threads are trimmed.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eEnough stock for the day\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eA money box or little bum bag to safely keep their cash and change\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ePricing and profit – encourage them to think about what their creations cost, what they will charge and how much they might earn from their little shop.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt’s all part of the fun of creating and running their own mini business!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eParent supervision \u0026amp; payments\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt least one parent\/guardian must supervise each table at all times. Little Stitch Academy staff will be busy running the event and cannot supervise children or manage their sales or money.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChildren will primarily be trading with cash, so please come prepared with some change and help your child make sure they are receiving and giving back the correct amounts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you choose to provide another payment method, such as a card reader, that is entirely at the parent's discretion and responsibility.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eA little extra from Little Stitch Academy ❤️\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThroughout the year, we’ve kept some of the sample pieces we made while testing projects rather than letting them go to waste. We’ll share these amongst our young stallholders to keep or add to their shop and sell.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe expect this will be approximately one item per child, but this isn't guaranteed, so please don't count these pieces when planning how much stock to make.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMost importantly, let the kids have fun with it! Their shop doesn't need to be perfect.
