Incursions & Excursions for Schools, Kindergartens & OSHC
Bring sewing, creativity, and sustainability to your students with Little Stitch Academy’s hands-on workshops — available as incursions (we come to you) or excursions at our Preston studio.
Our programs are aligned with STEAM learning and tailored for Kindergarten to Year 12, blending creativity, design thinking, mending skills, and environmental awareness.

Workshop Options
Excursions – Small Groups (On-Site Only)
Ideal for deeper hands-on learning.

Incursions or Excursions – Medium to Large Groups
Perfect for classrooms, OSHC, and holiday programs.
Students learn:

Threading a needle

Sewing a button

Repairing small tears

Simple, effective hand-stitching

Practical mending skills

Fees

$550 + GST for up to 25 students.
Pricing may vary slightly depending on the workshop type, materials, and location.
Please contact us with your program details and we’ll confirm the exact fee for your school. -
$50 travel fee for incursions requiring over 1 hour of total travel
*Many Melbourne councils offer grants or subsidies for schools running sustainability-focused workshops.
These programs can often cover part, or all, of the workshop fee. Funding is typically available through:

We recommend checking with your local council’s sustainability or community development team, as application processes are usually simple and schools often qualify automatically.

Parents who wish to organise a photo of their own child sewing may speak with staff to arrange a safe and appropriate moment
