Little Stitch Academy offers private, hands-on sewing parties and events in Melbourne, perfect for celebrating special occasions in a creative and relaxed way.

Hosted in our fully equipped Preston sewing studio, our events are suitable for kids, adults, and mixed-age groups, and are guided from start to finish by an experienced instructor.

From kids’ birthday parties and hens celebrations to baby showers, team building workshops and private group events, each session is beginner-friendly and designed for guests to create something meaningful to take home.

What’s Included

All private sewing parties and events run for 3 hours and include everything your group needs:

• Sewing machines and tools

• Fabrics, patterns, threads and trims

• A dedicated sewing instructor

• A guided, beginner-friendly project

• A handmade item for each guest to take home

• Tea and coffee in our refreshment area

Little Stitch Academy is a non-alcoholic venue.

Your booking includes up to 8 guests. Additional guests can be accommodated with an extra staff member.

Setup & Pack-Down Time

To ensure your event runs smoothly, your booking includes 30 minutes before and after your session for setup and pack-down.

• Morning session (9:00–12:00)

  Access from 8:30am, departure by 12:30pm

• Afternoon session (2:00–5:00)

  Access from 1:30pm, departure by 5:30pm

This time is ideal for decorating, setting up food, and packing up at the end — we take care of all cleaning.

Suitable for children aged 5 and up. Parents are welcome to join in or relax in our waiting area.

Hens Party Sewing Workshops

We don’t provide catering, but you’re welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks.

A fridge, microwave and air fryer are available. Tea and coffee are provided.

You’re also welcome to decorate the studio.

Pricing

$480 for up to 8 guests (3-hour private event)

+$40 per additional guest (invoiced separately)

Includes all equipment, materials, sewing machines and instruction.
